You-know-what comes before the fall

Me and the missus went to a local restaurant for some very nice dumpling soup today.  The owner was a photojournalist for twenty years and had a collection of his landscape photographs on the walls of his restaurant.  There were some nice photographs (though poorly printed) and I thought to myself, “Well, I think mine are about as good as these.”  I felt pretty good about myself.
When I got home I did a search for film photography blogs to add to my bookmark collection.  I came across this blog by The Modern Itinerant and my big-headedness was pricked like a bubble.  No matter how good you think you are, or how much better you are than someone else, there is always someone much better.

Time to go out and practise . . . .
